31 Weeks! 8 Months!
Today is Oct. 20th which means that I am due 2 months from today! 9 weeks or 60 days to go!
I had a Dr. apt today and for the third appointment in a row I've gain 6 pounds. Once again it's normal or so they say. I am 178 lbs and I am starting to really feel it, she is getting bigger and so am I. I measured 31 inches at 31 weeks which the Dr. said is perfect. I'm glad she is growing a good rate. I love hearing her heart beat, he said it sounds good. My appointments are now every 2 weeks rather than 4 which tells me were getting close!
Mike and the Dr. ganged up on me today. Dr. C asked me if I wanted a flu shot and I immediately said NO. The Dr. continued to tell me all of the benefits. I said I know, but to be honest i'd rather be sick for a day puking my guts out than get a shot. Then Mike chimed in and went on about how Peyton needs it. I was being interrogated by Mike and my Dr. I just kept saying no. no. no. then Dr. C reminded me of all the swine flu stuff and other stuff we need to protect her from then he said if I numb it first so you won't feel it then can I? I said okay, and so he poked me. I will admit it wasn't bad at all especially after the finger prick last appointment. I still hated every second of it though i'm such a baby. The real turning point It was when Mike started talking about Peyton thats when I realized this isn't just for me.... So to all you mommies out there. Get the shot.
Things I want to remember:
Hiccups - Monday night Mike and I were watching the news when all of a sudden she started punching me or so I thought. It kept going about ever 4 seconds in the same area. I realized these are hiccups! Finally, I grabbed Mikes hand and we sat there and felt her hiccup up by my left rib while she kicked my lower right belly. Just for a second we were able to tell where she was at. Which leads me to my next point. Shifting.
Shifting- My belly has been shifting litterly, my whole stomach moves from one side to the other. I finally was able to show Mike and was a little weird-ed out that my belly button moved from the middle of my stomach to more of the left and I had a bump on the right side. I don’t know what she was doing in there, but it was madness.
Schedule- I cannot believe how active she is. I thought I had her schedule down. It’s still pretty similar, but she is awake a lot more. About 7:00 - 8:00 I start to feel her moving around. On most days I can roll from my left side to my right and go back to sleep for an hour. Then at about 11:30 she kicks for a good half hour it seems like. Right now it’s about 2:00 and she is kicking again, but that is rare I don’t usually feel her till about 5:30. Then about 9:00PM is her active time she kicks and punches and just recently hiccups for a good hour. Her movement usually never wakes me up, but lately my belly has gotten so big when I lay on my side I feel everything and she has been more active too.
Charlie Horses- They lasted about a week. I listened to advice that my FB mommies posted and I haven’t had them since.
Braxton Hicks- I think I may have experienced my first Braxton hicks, but to be honest I’m not really sure. They say they aren’t suppose to be painful… What ever was happening yesterday was very painful! Today there hasn’t been any pain so I’m not worried any more.
Round Ligament Pain- It hurts more than ever I’m wondering if this is what I was experiencing yesterday, the strange thing is I usually only have ligament pain if I sneeze or move fast. This was a constant sharp pain…
Heart Burn / Acid Reflux- Still happening… it’s not as bad though!
Working Out- I haven’t thrown up in 2 or 3 weeks! *knock on wood* I have defiantly felt nauseous and have had to take Zofran and lay down, but no actual episodes! Which leads to me going to the gym again. I’ve gone on walks on and off and that’s about it because every time I’d end up loosing what ever was in my stomach. The elliptical and bike at the gym don’t hurt my back and are very smooth so that’s what I’ve been doing just to break a little sweat and get my heart pumping. Don’t worry I am being very careful and cautious!
